In 2015, the United Nations 2030 SDGs were adopted, which involve the whole of society in achieving a common sustainable future and calls for all social actors to contribute to the achievement of the goals set.

In this work plan, universities must take advantage of their strengths to adopt a key role to lead this change demanded by society. To favour the change towards sustainable universities committed to achieving this Agenda 2030, we need to develop instruments that mainstream sustainability in the fundamental pillars of the universities’ mission: education, research, knowledge transfer and management.
This guidelines has been developed jointly by different universities and NGO, capitalizing on their own experiences.

The method created by SDGs4U allows everyone to make their own way towards the SDGs. The guidelines you will find below is organized in 6 parts: 1 introduction, 4 booklets with their exercise and 1 study case. This organization allows everyone to start from where they are (what they have already accomplished) and to go further towards the SDGs.
